Illustration Friday - sacrifice II

I just finished watching a documentary on the Discovery Channel about global warming and was fixated today about everything I do that contributes to these frightening changes on our planet. I am feeling especially guilty because we just put under cabinet lighting in our kitchen and chose halogen instead of fluorescent bulbs!

Happy Birthday

Now that Illustration Friday has helped direct me back to what I love most to do. I am finding any spare time being used to create. This was just for fun. My son was going to a friends birthday party and I thought why buy a card when I can make one!

Illustration Friday - Suburban Sky line

I was walking home from a bike ride with my children. We turned down the street and I saw my suburban skyline ahead of me. House after almost identical house, close together. Cars parked. Yards empty. Big sky framing it all. Now that I think about it, I probably should have elongated the illustration and duplicated more of the same...

Ah! I think that's better!

Illustration Friday - Sticky

With this illustration, I started out with colored watercolor pencils. I then scanned the image and digitally enhanced it with Photoshop. I added leaves and background and played with the texture.

Can anyone tell me why when you click on the illustration, it goes to script and not an enlargement of the image? I'm new to all of the this!
