I'm getting this illustration in at the last minute. With both kids home all week, it was hard to find time for myself to play with art. I wish I had more time, but that's life!

I was not at all satisfied with my colors and textures of the first illustration posted so I went back to work. I find that I sometimes rush to post and then regret that I haven't pushed myself far enough. Then I see everyone's wonderful postings and realize how far I need to go to become an accomplished illustrator. Thanks for the constant inspiration!

My dentist's office when I was a little girl was unlike any doctor's office I have ever seen to this day. He really made going to get your teeth cleaned as fun as that experience could possibly be with prizes and rides and getting your picture put up on the wall. But the kicker was that if you had no cavities, before you went back into the waiting room to retrieve your parent, you could press a button that would set off an alarm on the parent side with a flashing sign that screamed to everyone "Hey, hey, hey! No tooth decay!" It was great... unless you did have a cavity. Then you were shamed into brushing really well for the next six months to never again experience such humiliation!!
